CBD Sports Water Industry Has A Spring In Its Step


With its reputation developing in the U.S. a Texas company’s variety of CBD infused water has now been launched into the European marketplace.

EVERx CBD Sports Water was debuted in 2017 by Dallas firm Puration and in the very first six months of this year notched up record sales of $1 million. Its European debut came at a bodybuilding occasion the Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Arnold Sports Festival Europe, in Barcelona in September, this year.

Analysts say the deal shows Canopy’s ambitions to come to be a ‘big player in the US$50-billion worldwide sports nutrition market’. Nonetheless several in the market are sceptical about the rewards of  infusing cannabidiol into water.

It says: “The infusion of CBD into a beverage or edible is not as simple as merely mixing CBD in a mixing bowl. PURA has skilled shelf-life challenges, amongst other concerns and in turn, resolved the challenges.” 

Bloggers at British CBD brand Canabidol highlighted how these challenges can be overcome saying that water is an excellent way to assure a wider bioavailability of CBD into the physique, but as CBD is an oil it does not mix conveniently with water.

They clarify that water is hydrophilic, which means it is attracted to water, while oil is hydrophobic which means it repels water, so CBD drinks makers use emulsifiers to overcome this challenge. Emulsifiers are amphiphilic, possessing a hydrophilic head and a hydrophobic tail.
