AirBnB of cannabis looking to expand weed tourism in Edmonton

Albertans will be able to get their legal cannabis through 13 licensed producers come Oct. 17.

A cannabis room rental and experience service looking to tap into weed tourism is expanding into Edmonton homes this summer.

PotRentals, based out of Montreal, is looking to cut through the uncertainty of when and where smoking cannabis is allowed in accommodations that are found on other popular short-term room rental services, most notably Airbnb. PotRentals offers ‘fun and weed friendly’ accommodations for visitors to major Canadian cities.

The company is already renting in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary and now it’s looking for hosts in Alberta’s capital.
