The Alaska Marijuana Handle Board is searching for public comment by June 19 on proposed alterations to the state’s guidelines for on-web site cannabis consumption spaces and the testing and tracking of marijuana.

Amongst other alterations, regulators advocate:

  • Enabling retail retailers not in freestanding buildings to have on-web site consumption of edibles only.
  • Escalating the price of the license charge for marijuana testing facilities.
  • Requiring a testing laboratory to submit alterations to typical operating procedures to regulators for evaluation and approval.
  • Altering specifications for marijuana that has failed testing as properly as requirements for cultivation and preparation of marijuana samples for testing.
